Eazy Recruitment is partnering with our renewed international food distribution client to appoint a Sales Manager based in Dandenong.

With an established customer base spanning major retailers, wholesalers, foodservice providers and independent stores, this chance offers the scope to strengthen existing partnerships, win new business and influence commercial performance.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will combine commercial leadership with hands-on involvement in key accounts and daily sales operations. You will lead a team of 6–10 across sales and sales support, working closely with senior management to turn business priorities into results.

Key responsibilities

- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue, margin and customer retention targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail and wholesale customers.
- Identify new business opportunities, customer channels and product opportunities.
- Negotiate pricing, trading terms, promotions and product ranging within delegated authority.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of 6–10 staff across sales support and administration.
- Oversee customer orders and service levels, working across departments to resolve issues.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets and performance reports, identifying opportunities to improve results.
- Collaborate with warehouse, supply chain, finance and marketing teams on stock availability, order fulfilment and customer initiatives.
- Improve sales processes and the use of CRM, ERP and electronic data interchange (EDI) systems.

About you To succeed in this role, you will bring:





- At least five years of relevant sales experience, ideally within FMCG, food distribution, retail or wholesale.
- Experience as a Sales Manager, Account Manager, National Account Manager or in a similar commercial leadership role.
- Professional working proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is essential to manage business relationships with customers and suppliers who communicate in these languages.
- Strong English communication skills for managing broader customer relationships and working across the business.
- A proven ability to grow sales and manage key accounts.
- Commercial understanding of pricing, gross margins, promotions, budgets and forecasting.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including coaching, performance management and team development.
- Strong negotiation, relationship-building and problem-solving skills.
- Confidence using Excel, CRM/ERP systems and sales reporting tools.
- An organised, proactive approach and the ability to turn sales data into practical actions.
