Elektron Infrastructure Pty Ltd is a leading provider of electrical, civil and infrastructure solutions across New South Wales. As an accredited Level 1 and Level 2 service provider, the company specialises in the construction, installation and maintenance of overhead and underground power networks, substations, street lights, and civil infrastructure projects.
On behalf of Elektron, we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Electronic Equipment Worker. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the installation, maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of electronic equipment and control systems utilised across the company's infrastructure and traffic management projects.
Current Opening:
This opportunity is a full-time position (38 hours per week).
Position Responsibilities and Tasks
- Examining, testing and diagnosing faults in electronic equipment, switchboards, wiring systems, traffic control systems and associated infrastructure equipment using specialised diagnostic tools and testing equipment
- Installing, configuring and integrating electronic equipment and control systems to support electrical infrastructure, traffic management and civil projects
- Performing maintenance, calibration and repair of electronic systems and components to ensure optimal operational performance and compliance with safety standards
- Inspecting, repairing and replacing defective electronic components, wiring and associated equipment to minimise operational downtime and disruptions across project sites
- Conducting operational and quality assurance testing on repaired and newly installed equipment to ensure functionality, reliability and compliance with manufacturer and regulatory requirements
- Assisting with the implementation and integration of traffic control systems, electronic signage, sensor technology and GPS monitoring systems utilised in infrastructure and roadwork projects
- Monitoring the performance of electronic systems and proactively identifying maintenance or repair requirements to ensure continuity of operations
- Providing onsite technical support and troubleshooting assistance to project teams and clients regarding the operation and maintenance of electronic systems and equipment
- Maintaining detailed service, repair and maintenance records, including reporting on faults identified, corrective actions undertaken and parts utilised
- Liaising with site managers, estimators and compliance personnel to ensure electronic installations and maintenance activities align with project schedules, operational requirements and regulatory obligations
- Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements, industry standards and company procedures
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certificate III or IV in electronics, electrical systems, information technology, or a related technical field
- At least one year of demonstrated experience in installation, maintenance and repair of electronic equipment and control systems
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams and specifications
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices
- Confidence to work effectively in both workshop and onsite environments
Salary:
The role offers a remuneration package of $79,000 - $90,000 per annum, plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
