Based out of the CIMC Cranbourne facilities, this exciting opportunity exists for a result-driven Sales Manager to join the CIMC Trailer sales team. Reporting directly to the National Sales Manager and the Managing Director (MD), this role plays a pivotal part in driving sales success and ensuring the delivery of top-tier customer service and high-quality products to clients.

This is a remote role requiring the candidate to be based in either Perth CBD, Inner & Western Suburbs Perth, WA, or All Adelaide, SA.

The Sales Manager will contribute to the business’s growth by developing current opportunities and fostering strong business relationships to maximize market potential. The role also involves leading by example, supporting the sales team with effective guidance, and continuously improving workflows and the overall customer experience to align with the company’s strategic objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Support the National Sales Manager and Managing Director (MD) in achieving agreed customer satisfaction targets, gross margin, delivery schedules, and other key performance initiatives.
- Assist in the development and execution of the CIMC business plan to align with stakeholder expectations and business objectives.
- Drive the achievement of market objectives, including sales volumes, pricing, and profit contribution targets, while maintaining a customer-focused approach.




- Develop and execute a business development plan to expand the client base and ensure sustained business growth.
- Implement a program for continuous improvement, focusing on safety, product and service quality, user-friendliness, labour productivity, and on-time delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and dealers, acting as a primary contact for client and partner engagement.
- Monitor performance metrics and compare them against industry standards, identifying areas for improvement and recommending corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with competition and consumer legislation in all sales activities.
- Coordinate and manage sales events, trade shows, and other marketing functions to enhance brand presence and attract potential clients.
- Collaborate with the sales team to contribute ideas, vision, and leadership that support the growth and profitability of the business.

Qualifications

- Minimum 8 years of proven experience in truck/trailer sales and relationship management
- Demonstrated strategic experience, with a focus on delivering results.
- Exceptional negotiation skills with an ability to build relationships at multiple levels to work across the organisation and marketplace.
- Exceptional time and personal management skills and the ability to work with a high degree of personal initiative.
