We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cellar Door Manager to oversee the daily operations of our winery’s tasting room. The ideal candidate will have a passion for wine, exceptional customer service skills, and a proven track record of managing a team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the tasting room, including staff, inventory, and customer experience
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and customer satisfaction
- Train and supervise tasting room staff, ensuring they provide exceptional customer service and maintain a clean and organized workplace
- Coordinate with stakeholders adequate inventory levels and timely product releases
- Plan and execute special events, including wine tastings, tours, and private events
- Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and customer feedback
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to alcohol sales and service
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a management role in the wine industry
- Strong knowledge of wine production, varietals, and regions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed
