Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will depend on the healthcare provider and placement but may include:
- Providing safe, professional and person-centred nursing care
- Conducting clinical assessments
- Monitoring patients, residents or clients
- Recording observations and vital signs
- Administering medications and treatments within your scope of practice
- Supporting medication management
- Wound care and other nursing interventions
- Developing and reviewing care plans where appropriate
- Recognising and escalating changes in clinical condition
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation
- Supporting infection prevention and control procedures
- Communicating with patients, residents, families and healthcare professionals
- Working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Providing clinical guidance to care and support workers where appropriate
- Supporting continuity and quality of care
- Following workplace health and safety requirements and clinical procedures
- Maintaining appropriate professional and ethical nursing standards
What We're Looking For
To join the NRF Health nursing workforce, you should have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- A recognised nursing qualification
- Australian working rights
- Strong clinical and nursing skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong clinical documentation skills
- A professional, reliable and compassionate approach to care
- Ability to work independently when required
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to safe, evidence-based and person-centred care
Experience across aged care, disability, community care, hospitals, primary care or other healthcare environments will be highly regarded.
Compliance Requirements
Depending on the opportunity, you may be required to provide:
- Current AHPRA registration
- Proof of identity
- Evidence of Australian working rights
- National Police Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check, where applicable
- Working With Children Check, where applicable
- Current First Aid certification
- Current CPR certification
- Relevant vaccination or immunisation evidence where required
- Relevant clinical competencies or training certificates
- Additional documentation required by a particular healthcare provider
