Join Our Team of Disability Support Workers in Caboolture QLD – long shifts available and we’re building our roster now!
We’re looking for caring, dependable people who want to make a genuine difference.
In this role, you’ll support our female client with Schizoaffective manic type Disorder (hallucinations, paranoid ideations, significant social withdrawal, suicidal behaviours, deliberate self-harm, substance misuse) with daily tasks, community activities, and personal goals.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Deliver person-centred support aligned with each participant’s NDIS goals
- Assist with personal care, meal preparation, medication prompts, and household tasks
- Implement Behaviour Support Plans and follow all NDIS practice standards
- Provide calm, consistent support during periods of elevated energy or distress
- Support community participation, transport, appointments, and skill-building activities
- Maintain accurate progress notes, incident reports,
and shift documentation
- Encourage independence, emotional regulation, and goal achievement
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, Disability, Mental Health, or Community Services
- Demonstrated experience supporting clients with Schizoaffective Disorder (manic type)
- First Aid & CPR certificate (current)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow card)
- Working With Children Check (Blue card)
- Valid Australian driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Flexibility: Availability to work all shifts, including mornings, afternoons, nights, and sleepovers
