The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) provides daily living support and companionship to seniors or persons with disabilities under the supervision of a healthcare skilled. They assist with activities of daily living, mobility, medication administration, housekeeping, and social engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily living activities
- Provide mobility assistance
- Prepare and serve meals
- Administer medications
- Monitor and record changes in clients’ health
- Assist with light housekeeping
- Provide companionship and social engagement
- Foster a safe and comfortable environment
Qualifications:
- Cert III in Aged Care or equivalent
- Knowledge of basic healthcare procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical stamina
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to work flexible hours
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical and professional standards
