We are working with an established Australian civil construction contractor seeking a motivated Site Engineer to join its experienced project delivery team.
The role will support civil construction projects in mining and infrastructure environments, working on a FIFO/DIDO 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineer looking to build their experience in a hands-on site environment, working closely with experienced project and construction teams and gaining exposure to the full delivery lifecycle.
A very attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Working as part of the project delivery team, you will assist with a range of site-based engineering and operational activities, including:
- Undertaking QA inspections, testing and quality documentation
- Supporting quality assurance and project close-out activities
- Coordinating subcontractors and suppliers
- Monitoring and coordinating day-to-day site activities
- Managing project documentation and site records
- Tracking, coding and processing delivery dockets
- Supporting project administration and reporting
- Assisting with planning and coordination of onsite works
- Working closely with Supervisors, Project Engineers and Project Managers to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification
About You
We’re looking for a motivated Civil Engineer who enjoys being on site and wants to develop their career within the civil construction industry.
Ideally, you will have:
- A degree in Civil Engineering
- Previous civil construction experience in Australia or New Zealand
- Undergraduate or graduate civil construction experience will be highly regarded
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving
- The ability to work effectively as part of a project team
- Current rights to work in Australia
- The ability and willingness to work FIFO/DIDO rosters and travel to project locations
- Defence security clearance, or the ability to obtain the required clearance
