Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our team in Barangaroo, Current South Wales. This permanent, full-time position within the public sector offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial integrity of government operations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and variances.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support.




- Assist in the audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Monitor and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Support the implementation of financial policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an accounting role, preferably within the public sector.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
