As Residential Site Manager, you will take day-to-day responsibility for your projects from site establishment through to practical completion, defects and final handover. Working closely with the Project Manager and senior management team, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy and be responsible for managing all aspects of high-end residential construction projects.
Key responsibilities
- Managing and coordinating all trades and subcontractors on site
- Taking ownership of the site program, construction sequencing and daily site activities
- Directing trades and holding subcontractors accountable for quality, workmanship and timeframes
- Maintaining exceptional standards of construction quality and finish
- Conducting detailed inspections and identifying defects or potential issues before they become problems
- Reviewing and interpreting architectural, structural and engineering drawings
- Coordinating materials, deliveries and site logistics
- Managing site safety, SWMS, OH&S; and compliance requirements
- Building strong working relationships with clients, architects, consultants and subcontractors
- Ensuring projects are delivered to the required standard, program and client expectations
About you
- Proven experience managing high-end, custom or architecturally designed residential projects
- Strong knowledge of premium residential construction methodology and sequencing
- The ability to independently manage a site and confidently coordinate all trades and subcontractors
- Strong leadership skills and the confidence to hold trades accountable
- An exceptional eye for detail and a genuine commitment to quality
- A thorough understanding of architectural drawings, specifications and finishes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence dealing directly with high-end residential clients
- Strong knowledge of Victorian residential construction requirements and OH&S;
- A relevant trade qualification and White Card are essential.
