About the opportunity
We’re seeking a Quality Assurance Officer to join a growing import and distribution business with warehouse operations across multiple states. Under new leadership, the business is investing in its processes and systems, and this newly created role sits at the centre of how product quality is managed once goods arrive in Australia.
Reports to: Supply Chain & Operations leadership
Employment type: Full-time, permanent

About the role
You’ll be the point of contact for quality issues raised by the warehouse network and by customers, working in a structured, established workflow. Many customer complaints will reach you through a dedicated sales support function, and supplier-related findings are passed to procurement for resolution. The role is aimed to grow, with a safety portfolio to be added as you develop.

Key responsibilities

- Log, investigate and document internal non-conformances such as damaged product, damaged containers and wet or fallen cartons
- Manage customer complaints, including incorrect or faulty product
- Hand supplier-related issues to procurement for resolution, replacement or credit
- Track trends and recurring issues so problems are fixed at the source
- Maintain accurate quality records within the business’s ERP and ticketing systems
- Work with supply chain, procurement,

sales support and warehouse teams across states
- Escalate issues promptly and follow through to close-out

About you
You’re a quick-thinking, self-directed early-career quality professional who is comfortable working across teams and escalating issues with confidence. You bring a methodical approach to data collection and documentation.
You will ideally have:

- 1–3 years’ quality experience; QC experience moving into a broader QA role would suit well
- A background in food manufacturing, FMCG or a similar workplace; packaging experience is not required
- Strong data collection, documentation and follow-through skills
- An understanding of complaint and non-conformance processes
- Some exposure to compliance is a bonus, with training provided
- Ambition to grow, including into a safety portfolio over time

Why this role

- Newly created role with scope to build out the quality function
- Clear pathway to broaden into safety as you develop
- Work closely with supply chain, procurement and sales teams, gaining wide exposure across the business
- Join a business investing in its people, processes and systems under new leadership
