This is a full-time term-time permanent position, with an immediate start date available.
About the Role
The Junior Sports Administrator reports to the Director of Sport and Activities and provides essential administrative and operational support to the School’s Sports Department to ensure the smooth delivery of the All Saints sports program, events and sports communications across the Schools with a focus on Junior School Sport. The role assists with coordinating key logistics and accurate sport-related information, assists with excursions and competitions, and supports equipment management, all while upholding School policies and reflecting the ethos and values of All Saints Anglican School.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Sport Department, assisting the Director of Sport, Sports Coordinators and Senior Sports Administrator with the delivery of Junior School and whole-school sporting programs.
- Coordinate Junior School sport operations, including APS fixtures, competition entries, team administration, transport bookings, results management and data entry.
- Support the organisation and delivery of sporting excursions, tours, carnivals,
competitions and special events, including event-day administration, catering, awards and presentations.
- Manage sport-related communications and records, including responding to enquiries, maintaining online sport information, distributing notices and handbooks, and recording student achievements and awards.
- Assist with the administration of major sporting events and awards programs, including Sports Awards Night, photo schedules, trophy and medal management, and event logistics.
- Support the preparation, maintenance and distribution of sporting uniforms, equipment, facilities and storerooms, including equipment purchasing and inventory management.
- Assist with the setup of sporting venues and equipment, including courts, ovals, scoreboards and event infrastructure.
- Provide student supervision and, where required, assist with coaching, training sessions and sporting team support.
- Maintain departmental resources and stationery and undertake other duties relevant to the role as directed by school leadership.
About You
Our ideal candidate will bring;
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card QLD).
Whilst not mandatory the following would be considered an advantage:
- Experience in an administration role, ideally in sports administration or within a school environment.
- Knowledge of, or competency to upskill in software programs including; Schoolbox (FIDO), Team Manager, Clipboard, Meet Manager,
TASS, highly regarded.
- High level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate confidently with students, staff and parents.
- Strong organisational, time management and multitasking abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and use sensitivity and judgement.
