This is a hands on position suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, has strong grounds maintenance experience and takes genuine pride in their work and has a high attention to detail.
About the Role
You will be responsible for maintaining high end residential and commercial properties to a consistently high standard.
Your duties will include:
- General grounds and garden maintenance
- Mowing, edging, whipper snipping and blowing
- Weeding and garden bed maintenance
- Hedging, pruning and trimming
- Plant and garden maintenance
- Irrigation maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Checking and adjusting irrigation systems and controllers
- Operating and maintaining landscaping machinery, equipment and hand tools
- Keeping lawns, gardens and outdoor areas clean, tidy and professionally presented
- Identifying maintenance issues and reporting them when required
- Completing all work to a high standard with attention to detail
- Working efficiently and taking pride in the finished result
- Following company procedures and maintaining a strong focus on safety
About You
We are looking for an experienced and reliable grounds maintenance gardener who takes genuine pride in their work and understands the importance of presentation.
You will have:
- Previous experience in grounds or garden maintenance
- Robust practical knowledge of general landscaping and garden maintenance
- Very high attention to detail
- A strong eye for presentation and a pride in delivering a quality finish
- Good knowledge of lawns, gardens, plants and general grounds maintenance
- Experience with irrigation systems and controllers is highly desirable
- Experience operating landscaping machinery and equipment
- A strong work ethic and reliable attitude
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- A proactive approach to your work
- The ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- A valid Australian driver's licence (required)
- A valid Blue Card / Working with Children Check (required)
Attention to Detail is Essential
We are looking for someone who doesn't just get the job done they take pride in how the job looks when they leave.
You will need to have a good eye for detail and be someone who notices the things others may overlook.
This includes clean edges, neatly maintained garden beds, missed weeds, overgrown areas, irrigation issues and the overall presentation of the property.
