At Sirrom Facilities Services, our people are at the centre of everything we do. We are seeking a motivated and career-focused HR & Recruitment Graduate to support our People & Culture team in delivering end-to-end HR and recruitment services across a diverse and geographically dispersed workforce.

About the Role
Reporting to the People & Culture Team, the HR & Recruitment Graduate will provide administrative and operational support across a broad range of HR functions, with a solid focus on high-volume recruitment, employee onboarding, compliance, workforce administration and employment-related activities.
Working within a dynamic and rapid-paced setting, you will gain exposure to all aspects of contemporary HR practice while developing the skills required for a successful career in Human Resources.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Support end-to-end recruitment activities across operational and corporate positions.
- Create and manage SEEK advertisements and other recruitment campaigns.
- Conduct candidate screening, shortlisting and interview coordination.
- Schedule interviews and maintain candidate communication throughout the recruitment process.
- Coordinate reference checks, background checks and pre-employment assessments.
- Support mobilisation and workforce planning activities.
- Maintain recruitment databases and applicant tracking systems.
- Assist with talent pooling and workforce pipeline initiatives.
Employee Lifecycle Management
- Support the recruitment team as required to prepare employment contracts, offer documentation and onboarding packs.
- Support in new starter onboarding and induction activities.
- Assist with employee movements, promotions, contract variations and offboarding processes.
- Maintain employee records and personnel files.
- Ensure HR information systems are updated accurately and in a timely manner.
- Support workforce reporting and HR administration requirements.
Employment Relations & Case Management Support
- Assist the People & Culture team with employment-related matters.
- Support case management activities involving performance, conduct and workplace concerns.
- Prepare correspondence, meeting documentation and administrative records.
- Maintain confidential employee information and documentation.
- Support investigations, consultation processes and employee communications under guidance from senior HR personnel.
Visa & Workforce Compliance Administration
- Assist with employee visa monitoring and administration.
- Maintain records relating to visa conditions, expiry dates and work rights.
- Coordinate documentation required for visa compliance and workforce verification.
- Support international worker onboarding processes.
- Assist with workforce compliance reporting and audit activities.
HR Operations & People Support
- Support HR projects, initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
- Assist in policy and procedure administration.
- Coordinate training records and employee development activities.
- Support performance review cycles and employee engagement initiatives.
- Prepare HR reports, workforce metrics and recruitment dashboards.
- Provide general administrative support to the People & Culture team.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Essential
- Recent completion of a degree in:
- Human Resources
- Business (Human Resource Management)
- Psychology
- Industrial Relations
- Commerce
- Or a related discipline.
- Strong interest in developing a career in Human Resources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong administrative and computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute.
Desirable
- Previous experience in administration, customer service or recruitment.
- Exposure to HR systems or applicant tracking systems.
- Understanding of Australian employment legislation and employment practices.
- Experience within workforce services, facilities management, mining, hospitality or remote workforce environments.
