The Role
This is a pivotal role for an experienced Senior Farm Hand looking to take the next step in their career at a forward-thinking, family-operated mixed-farming business. Based on a 2,120-hectare property just 15 minutes from Deniliquin, you will play a central role in the efficient operation of a diverse cropping enterprise encompassing rice, wheat, canola, vetch, barley, oats, and lentils. Your days will be defined by the operation of modern, sophisticated machinery—including a John Deere fleet, Seedhawk airseeders, Goldacres self-propelled sprayers, Vicon 3-point linkage spreader, and a single grain truck—where precision agriculture, automated rice paddock systems, controlled traffic farming on dryland, digital farm management, and local contracting are at the forefront of operations.
While the primary focus of your responsibilities will be the summer and winter cropping programs, both dryland and irrigated, you will also provide support to their growing Dorper sheep operation, ensuring the highest standards of animal health and husbandry are maintained across both the containment feeding and grazing activities.

The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a level-headed, forward-thinking agricultural skilled who values high-quality machinery, precision management, and the strength of a collaborative team environment. You will be joining a dedicated crew of two full-time staff alongside the owners, supported by two seasonal workers during sowing and harvest.

- Demonstrated proficiency in operating broadacre machinery and spray rigs.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and an eye for detail.
- Honesty, integrity, and a willingness to embrace new technologies.
- Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative group.
- A Heavy Combination (HC) license is advantageous, or the willingness to obtain one with employer support.
