About the role

As the successful applicant, the Automotive Mechanic will assist with mechanical duties/fitments for 4WDs & motorhomes during our manufacturing and service process.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

- Fitting bodies, welding, drilling, grinding, sanding, sealing and gluing

- Fitment of doors,



windows, locks, wheels, tow-bars, lights, wiring, and soldering, as per customer requirements

- Brake change over, upgrade and service

- Rework of any defects during quality inspection

- Various drive line adjustments and upgrades, alterations to air brake systems

- Fitment upgrade and modification of suspension systems

- Manual to automatic change over conversion

- 4x4 to 6x6 conversion

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

- Full Australian working rights

- 3 years previous vehicle manufacturing and/or service experience

- Either manufacturing or service experience is acceptable to meet the 3-year requirement

- Previous vehicle testing and service experience

- Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical (Trade qualification)

- Strong fault finding and diagnostic abilities

- Strong ability to follow diagrams

- Current and past experience in vehicle manufacture and/or service

- Ability to follow instruction, work orders, sketches and diagrams

- Previous experience in a similar role

- Work with minimal supervision

- Testing and service experience

- Robust communication skills

- Hands on experience

- Organised, logical, and deadline-oriented
