The Prospect:

We are seeking skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join a major mining operation in the Pilbara on a FIFO basis from Perth. You will deliver high-quality preventative maintenance, repairs and diagnostics on autonomous and auxiliary mining fleets. Key Responsibilities:

- Mechanical work: Maintain and repair heavy earthmoving equipment, including CAT, Liebherr and Komatsu fleets.
- Diagnostics: Troubleshoot faults, carry out component replacements and support the electrical reliability of on-site fleets.
- Site support: Support planned shutdowns, servicing, breakdowns and diagnostic work as required.
- Documentation: Keep accurate service records and documentation in line with site standards.
- Safety and quality:



Work independently while maintaining high standards of work quality and strict adherence to site safety procedures.

About you:

- Australian recognised trade qualification as a Heavy Duty Fitter, Diesel Mechanic (HME) or Auto Mechanic
- Experience in heavy diesel mechanics, ideally 5+ years within the mining industry
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems and electrical systems
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with mining equipment and industry safety standards
- A valid C Class driver's licence and full working rights in Australia

Highly regarded:

- HRWL, advanced diagnostics or specialised equipment certifications, and experience mentoring or leading other mechanics
- A growth mindset, initiative, curiosity and the confidence to raise issues and see them through to resolution
