Factory Supervisor

Join Crimsafe Group, Australia’s safety and security leader. One of Crimsafe Group’s companies, SecureFence, is expanding and looking for an experienced and hands-on Factory Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing and fabrication facility on the Gold Coast.
This is a key leadership role for someone who takes ownership, leads by example, and enjoys being actively involved in the daily running of a factory. You will oversee a small team, coordinate production and deliveries, manage stock and materials, and ensure the factory operates safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

About the Role
As Factory Supervisor, you will be responsible for the overall day-to-day running of the SecureFence factory, ensuring the team, equipment, stock and materials are organised and operating efficiently.
You will supervise and coordinate two welders and a truck driver, manage the picking and packing of customer orders, oversee stock control and purchasing, and coordinate the movement of tools, equipment and machinery as required.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong organisational skills, practical problem-solving abilities and the confidence to manage competing priorities while keeping production and warehouse operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the day-to-day factory operations.
- Supervise and support a team of two welders and a truck driver, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
- Plan and coordinate daily workloads, production priorities and job schedules.
- Manage the picking, packing and preparation of customer orders to ensure accuracy and timely dispatch.
- Coordinate deliveries, collections and transport requirements with the truck driver.
- Manage stock control, including monitoring stock levels, conducting stocktakes and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Order raw materials, consumables, tools and other supplies to ensure the factory is adequately stocked.
- Monitor material usage and minimise waste, damage and unnecessary costs.
- Coordinate the movement, storage and maintenance of tools, machinery and factory equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organised and efficient factory, warehouse and storage area.
- Ensure workplace health and safety procedures are followed and equipment is used correctly.
- Identify opportunities to improve factory processes, productivity and workflow.
- Communicate with management, sales and project teams to coordinate priorities and meet customer requirements.
- Take ownership of factory operations and proactively resolve day-to-day operational issues.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a factory, warehouse, manufacturing, fabrication or similar operational environment.
- Demonstrated experience supervising staff and coordinating daily workloads.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience with stock control, inventory management and ordering materials.
- Ability to coordinate production, order preparation and dispatch activities.
- A practical understanding of tools, machinery, materials and workshop equipment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a small team.
- A commitment to workplace health and safety, quality and maintaining an organised work workplace.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic computer skills for stock records, ordering and general administration.
- A current driver's licence. Forklift licence and relevant trade or fabrication experience would be advantageous.
