Working closely with LWP's management team, you will provide financial analysis, commercial assessment and practical support across three areas: existing business analysis and optimisation of power generation activities; business improvement through identifying and implementing practical efficiencies using AI tools, AI agents and workflow automation; and business development to help build and assess a pipeline of new power projects. You will maintain financial models, evaluate investment and funding alternatives, improve the quality and accessibility of business information, and prepare concise analysis to support decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Analyse performance and support the optimisation and development of power generation activities, including the assessment of alternative technologies
- Identify and implement practical efficiencies using AI tools, AI agents and workflow automation, with an initial focus on reporting, data analysis and routine processes
- Help build and assess a pipeline of new power projects, including chance screening, project economics and commercial proposals
- Maintain financial models and evaluate investment and funding alternatives
- Improve the quality and accessibility of business information
- Prepare concise analysis to support management decisions
About you
- Approximately 3–6 years' experience in commercial analysis, corporate finance, infrastructure, energy or a related field
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills, with the ability to translate analysis into practical commercial recommendations
- Hands-on experience using AI tools and automation to improve business processes, or a demonstrable ability to develop and implement these capabilities
- Sound commercial judgment, initiative and the ability to work independently in a small team
- Clear communication, robust organisational skills and an interest in energy and business development
- Experience in power generation, mining infrastructure or renewable energy would be advantageous, but is not essential
