About the Role
Are you an experienced electrician or electrotechnology qualified looking for a rewarding career change?
South Regional TAFE is seeking an industry professional to join our Esperance campus and help train the next generation of electrical tradespeople. If you have extensive industry knowledge, we can support you to develop the skills and qualifications required to become an effective lecturer.
In this role, you'll deliver practical and classroom-based training, assess student competency and mentor learners as they develop the technical skills needed by industry.

Required Qualifications & Experience
To be eligible for employment applicants must hold a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (or higher) or equivalent and have a minimum of 5 years working in the area of expertise.
To deliver accredited VET training, the minimum qualification required is the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116 or TAE40110), or a secondary teaching qualification with an Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011, TAESS00019 or TAESS00024).
No VET credential? No problem.
If you have substantial industry experience and the required trade qualification, we encourage you to apply. South Regional TAFE will support the successful applicant to enrol into the necessary vocational education and training qualifications, enabling you to transition successfully from industry into teaching with steady progress toward completion of training within two years of starting.
Many of our lecturers began their careers as tradespeople before moving into education.
