Customer Service Officer | 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract

We are seeking a Customer Service Officer to join our Dandenong South team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, you’ll join a supportive and knowledgeable team focused on delivering first-class service to both internal and external customers.

About the Role

This is a hands-on and varied role working across sales, logistics, distribution, manufacturing and inventory management.

You’ll coordinate customer orders from receipt through to delivery, often managing multiple product, stock and delivery requirements at once. Accuracy, attention to detail and strong follow-through are therefore essential.

To thrive in this role, you’ll be a confident communicator and relationship builder who enjoys solving problems, working collaboratively and taking ownership of getting things done.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive and accurately process customer orders, quotes, product enquiries, account queries and credit returns
- Coordinate orders from receipt through to delivery, working closely with sales, logistics, manufacturing and inventory teams
- Keep customers and internal stakeholders informed of order progress, stock availability and potential delays
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell where appropriate
- Assist with stocktakes and the reconciliation of stock levels
- Support accurate inventory control in line with company policy
- Maintain accurate and current pricing
- Ensure timely administration and processing of customer orders




- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across systems, processes and products

About You

You’ll ideally bring:

- Experience in a similar customer service, sales support or supply chain role
- Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of logistics and supply chain processes
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- A proactive approach, with strong follow-through and a focus on seeing tasks through to completion
- The initiative to identify what needs to be done and follow up without being prompted
- Robust problem-solving skills and a solutions-focused mindset
- An inquisitive nature, with the confidence to ask questions and develop a thorough understanding
- Experience with Pronto would be advantageous
- Experience within the agriculture industry would be highly regarded
- A genuine willingness to learn and build your product knowledge
