DTCo is seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer/Draftsperson to join our team.
We have the need for increased capacity from existing client's to support long term project's with design and drafting support based out of our North Melbourne office.
Some your responsibilities will include:
- Produce models and drawings for engineering projects through to production release.
- Ensure that drawings for projects are completed on time and in accordance with defined standards.
- Ensure drawings comply with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain detailed design documentation and change records.
- Support engineering in relation to drawing data and supplied information.
- Apply information for engineering specifications, standards and production systems.
Baseline Requirements:
- Excellent engineering drawing/drafting skills for production.
- An Australian Citizen eligible for baseline security clearance.
- 2–5 years’ post-graduate experience in a design engineering role.
- Proficiency in well-structured, complex 3D CAD modelling.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with relevant industry experience.
- Experienced in industry-standard CAD software such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks, or similar.
- A strong ability to develop technical documents and specifications for mechanical components, assemblies, and systems, and communicate them productively.
Highly Advantageous Skills:
- Ability to use Configurations/Model States within CAD software.
- Electrical routing in CAD.
- Experience in cloud-based tools such as OneDrive and project management tools such as Planner/Trello.
- Experience with PDM or PLM systems.
- Other CAD software such as Microstation, Shipconstructor, NX, etc are advantageous.
