We are seeking an experienced Estimator / Draftsman to join our team and play a key role in the design and estimating of high-quality modular building projects across the Northern Territory and beyond.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys working across both the technical and commercial aspects of construction, from concept design and drafting through to estimating and quoting.

About the Role

As our Estimator / Draftsman, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, producing detailed construction drawings, and support the project quoting teams throughout the design and construction process.

Key responsibilities include:

- Preparing detailed estimates, quotations, and cost plans for modular building projects

- Interpreting architectural, engineering, and client documentation

- Producing high-quality CAD drawings and construction documentation

- Developing modular building layouts, floor plans, and manufacturing drawings

- Liaising with clients, suppliers, engineers, and project managers

- Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor pricing

- Assisting with project planning, material take-offs, and procurement requirements

- Maintaining drawing revisions and document control systems

- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives in modular building design

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous experience in an Estimator, Draftsperson, or similar construction-based role

- Strong experience with modular,



transportable, prefabricated, or residential/commercial building construction

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting software

- Ability to prepare accurate material take-offs and construction estimates

- Strong understanding of Australian building standards and construction practices

- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities

- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team workplace

- Full unrestricted Australian working rights

Desirable Skills & Experience

- Experience within modular or prefabricated building manufacturing

- Knowledge of steel-framed construction systems

- Understanding of the National Construction Code (NCC)

- Experience with estimating software and project management systems

- Trade, drafting or building design qualifications
