A role with unique responsibilities
This is a newly created role at MUFW, providing an exciting opportunity for an experienced customer service or bookings professional to take on additional responsibility within our busy bookings team.
As the MUFW Bookings Coordinator, you will work closely with the Patient Services Manager to help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of our bookings function. Based in Clayton, you will support the daily coordination of booking activities, phone enquiries and workflow priorities, while remaining actively involved in patient bookings and call management throughout the day.
This is a predominantly phone-based role, ideal for someone who enjoys helping patients and providing outstanding customer service. The majority of each day will be spent managing inbound and outbound calls, booking appointments and supporting patients, while also assisting with the coordination of the bookings team and daily workload allocation.
You will help ensure phone coverage is maintained, daily tasks are completed, and service standards are consistently achieved. Working closely with doctors, genetic counsellors, nurses, sonographers and administration teams,
you will play an important role in supporting both patients and referring doctors.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a high volume of inbound and outbound patient calls and booking enquiries throughout the day, five days per week
- Coordinating the daily workflow of the bookings team, including phone coverage, task allocation and workload prioritisation
- Assisting with the day-to-day operation of bookings and call enquiries to ensure appointments are booked accurately and efficiently
- Acting as a key point of contact for the bookings team, providing day-to-day support, guidance and assistance when required
- Monitoring team performance measures, booking accuracy and patient feedback, and escalating concerns where appropriate
- Building strong working relationships with doctors, sonographers, nurses, genetic counsellors and administration teams
- Supporting MUFW's referring doctor network by delivering an exceptional experience for patients, doctors and referrers
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, workflow efficiency and the overall patient experience
- Ensuring all bookings and patient interactions are managed in accordance with MUFW clinical protocols, quality management systems, privacy and governance requirements
Are you the ideal candidate?
We're looking for a highly organised and proactive bookings professional who enjoys a busy environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service. You will be comfortable coordinating daily activities, supporting colleagues and helping the team stay on track, while remaining hands-on with patient bookings and phone enquiries.
You will have strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail,
a collaborative approach and the ability to prioritise competing demands. Most importantly, you will lead by example through your work ethic, professionalism and commitment to providing an outstanding experience for our patients and referring doctors.
