Looking for a fresh start or your next opportunity in early childhood education?
QCE Child Care is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and caring educator to join our team in Mittagong!
We're welcoming applications from Certificate III and Diploma-qualified educators who genuinely enjoy working with children.
Whether you've recently completed your qualification or have been working in early childhood education for years, we'd love to hear from you.
We're looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team, is willing to learn, takes initiative and brings a positive attitude to their day.
A Little About Us
QCE Child Care is a privately owned early childhood service that has been part of the Southern Highlands community for 18 years.
We provide care and education for children across three rooms, from our youngest Joeys through to our Kangaroos getting ready for school.
We're proud of the relationships we've built with our children, families and educators over the years, and we believe that having a happy, supported team is an important part of providing quality care.
Our values are at the heart of what we do: Honesty & Trust, Effective Communication, Professionalism, Teamwork and Safe Learning Environments.
Why Work With Us?
We know how important it is to feel appreciated and supported at work, so here's a little of what we offer:
- Competitive wages – $64,000–$75,000 per year, depending on qualifications, experience and responsibilities.
- Achievable monthly KPI bonuses – opportunities to earn additional income by meeting clear and realistic performance goals.
- No take-home programming or documentation – dedicated time is provided during work hours.
- Paid professional development and monthly team meetings.
- Opportunities to grow and develop your career within the service.
- Supportive leadership and established systems to help you in your role.
- Uniforms provided.
- A friendly, team-focused workplace where everyone's contribution matters.
What Does the Role Involve?
As part of our team, you'll help create a safe, welcoming and engaging environment where children can learn, play and grow.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Building positive relationships with children, families and fellow educators.
- Supporting children's learning through play, activities and everyday experiences.
- Contributing to observations, programming and documentation.
- Helping with daily routines and maintaining a clean, safe and organised environment.
- Working together with your team to ensure children receive quality care and education.
- Sharing ideas, communicating openly and contributing to the room.
- Supporting children's individual learning, development and wellbeing.
Who Would Be a Great Fit?
We'd love to find someone who:
- Genuinely enjoys spending time with children.
- Is friendly, approachable and works well with others.
- Is reliable and takes pride in their work.
- Is happy to lend a hand and take initiative.
- Communicates well with families and colleagues.
- Is open to feedback and learning new things.
- Understands the importance of child safety and active supervision.
- Brings a positive attitude and a willingness to be involved.
You don't have to have years of experience or know everything already. We're looking for someone with the right attitude, a willingness to learn and a genuine interest in being part of our team.
What You'll Need
- A completed Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or an equivalent recognised qualification).
- Previous experience in an early childhood education and care setting.
- A current NSW Working With Children Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR qualifications.
- An understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework.
- Availability to work full-time across our operating hours of 7:00am–6:00pm, Monday to Friday.
