Multiple Opportunities Available for Client Side Project Managers to work with Key Cultural Institutions

Hays is proud to partner with one of the country's key cultural institutions that play a vital part of the Australian cultural landscape. They are currently seeking several experienced Client Side Project Managers to join their Capital Works team and contribute to the management of significant building and infrastructure projects across this iconic heritage building.
Your new role
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Level 6 Assistant Project Manager will support in the delivery of significant construction projects efficiently and to a high standard.
- Coordinate contract administration and financial management activities in a construction environment
- Assist with contractor, consultant and stakeholder management to keep projects aligned with scope, programme and budget
- Maintain project registers, monitor risks and issues, and support contingency planning and mitigation strategies
- Prepare project reports, governance and risk management
- Monitor budgets, commitments and expenditure, providing accurate and timely reporting
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated experience supporting or delivering capital works, construction or building projects across the project lifecycle
- Strong scheduling and programme management capability, including deconflicting concurrent work, and competing project priorities
- Experience assessing extension of time (EOT)
claims and supporting effective contract administration in a construction environment
- Sound capability in procurement, budget management, project reporting, governance and risk management
- Experience contributing to interior design, refurbishment or fit-out projects will be highly regarded
- Knowledge of Commonwealth Government procurement, governance and financial processes will be highly regarded
- Relevant qualifications in construction, project management, engineering, architecture, interior design or a related discipline
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
