X-Team is seeking talented engineers to join us to participate in a mobile engineering squad at one of Australia's largest banks, working on two strategic projects: focusing on mobile app resiliency used by millions of customers, and building Open Banking features. You'll build it in Swift and SwiftUI with a SQLite caching layer, using networking and database code generated from gRPC definitions.
Key responsibilities
- Build offline-first architecture with SQLite for local data caching and offline state management
- Design mobile architectures that handle network latency, backend outages, and background data synchronization
- Consume gRPC services and work with Protocol Buffers and automated code generation on iOS
- Implement reactive architecture patterns for managing concurrent data loading and UI state
- Apply iOS security fundamentals including Keychain management, certificate pinning, and OAuth2 authentication flows
About you
- 5+ years of native iOS engineering,
with deep expertise in Swift and SwiftUI
- Stronger expertise in Backend mobile engineering rather than just experience in Frontend / UI
- Extensive production experience designing offline-first apps with SQLite for local data caching and offline state management
- Track record of building mobile architectures that handle network latency, backend outages, and background data synchronization
- Practical experience consuming gRPC services and working with Protocol Buffers and automated code generation on iOS
- Reactive architecture experience (MVVM, Redux, or TCA) for managing concurrent data loading and UI state
