What you'll be doing
The WHS and Wellbeing Coordinator serves as the central figure in managing Work Health and safety (WHS) concerns, ensuring our facilities comply with all relevant statutes and strategically embedding sustainable practices for WHS, particularly in managing psychosocial risks as per state and federal guidelines.
The role is pivotal in crafting, executing, and overseeing the FWLHD Employee Wellbeing Plan, a strategic approach filled with proactive, evidence-based initiatives aimed at enhancing the physical and psychological health of our employees, thereby fostering an overall culture of wellbeing within the organisation.
Attend and contribute Work Health & Safety Committees and other relevant meetings as required.

About Broken Hill

How to apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible.
1. Relevant qualifications in WHS or equivalent experience, skills and knowledge.
2. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Work Health Safety Legislation, MoH and FWLHD policies and procedures.
3. High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with skills in collection and analysis of data and the presentation of information for reporting.
4. Proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, clinicians, and support staff, both verbally and in writing.
5. Experience in developing and implementing psychosocial risk management projects in large complex organisations, supporting stakeholders and colleagues to build confidence and competence in managing psychosocial risk.
6. Advanced business partnering skills to establish rapport, psychological safety, trust and credibility with colleagues at all levels.
7. Demonstrated organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding qualified environment with a capacity to prioritise competing demands and achieve results with a customer-focused approach.
8. Current NSW Class C drivers licence and willingness to travel through FWLHD.
