Senior Systems Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer - TSPV Cleared

Federal Government Opportunities | Canberra, ACT | 3 Positions Available

PERSOL is currently recruiting for two exciting opportunities with Federal Government agencies, seeking experienced Senior Systems Administrators / Infrastructure Engineers to support critical infrastructure, cloud and cyber security projects.

Contract Details

- Location: Canberra, ACT

- Positions Available: 3 across 2 opportunities

- Contract: 12 months + 2 x 12-month extension options

- Working Arrangements: Onsite, up to 40 hours per week

- Level: Senior / EL1 Equivalent

- Security Clearance: Current TSPV clearance mandatory

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain Linux infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.

- Deploy and support Kubernetes, Docker and VM-based applications.

- Design, implement and maintain VMware virtualisation environments, including VMware Aria.

- Build and maintain OpenSearch clusters and Kubernetes environments.

- Configure and troubleshoot networking components, including VLANs, DNS, load balancers and firewalls.

- Deploy secure, isolated environments and developer/analyst tooling.

- Develop and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures.

Essential Skills & Experience

- Minimum 5 years' Linux systems administration experience.





- Strong experience in VMware virtualisation and/or VMware Aria.

- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker or OpenSearch.

- Solid understanding of networking, cloud infrastructure and virtualisation.

- Experience deploying sandboxed environments or developer tooling.

- Strong technical documentation and troubleshooting skills.

Technical requirements vary between the two opportunities. Candidates do not need to meet every requirement listed above.

Desirable Skills

- Knowledge of ASD Essential Eight security controls.

- Understanding of client-server architecture and scalable software solutions.

- Ability to independently deploy, maintain and support new applications.

Eligibility & Application
