Our client is an established, well-regarded firm with a strong Queensland base and a record of building new offices, and Sydney is the next. They are looking for a Senior Commercial Litigator at Senior Associate level or above to lead and grow the practice from a small start, with a paralegal welcome to move across with you.

Salary Range and Features of this role:

• $160K to $220K + super, depending on experience and leadership scope. This can be negotiable based on what you can bring.

About the role

A senior commercial litigation role that also leads the growth of the Sydney office:

• Run commercial litigation matters, including building and construction, business and partnership, contract, banking, employment and qualified negligence disputes
• Act in defamation, class action and liquidation matters as they arise
• Take on estate litigation and estates work if you have it, which is a bonus
• Lead and develop the Sydney team, including a paralegal
• Take part in networking, marketing and business development to build the practice




• Work with the firm's leadership as the office grows

What you'll bring

• Senior Associate level or above, with minimum 6 + PAE experience in commercial litigation
• Breadth across commercial disputes, with construction, business or partnership disputes a plus
• Leadership ability and the drive to build a practice
• A business development mindset and comfort with networking and marketing
• A current NSW practising certificate
• Willingness to work from the Sydney office four to five days a week
