We're looking for a hands-on Working Café Manager to join a busy takeaway café in Warana on a casual or part-time basis. This role suits someone who enjoys being on the floor, leading by example and keeping service moving during busy breakfast and lunch trade. The café offers barista-made coffee, fresh food and a strong grab-and-go range for loyal local customers. With high daily trade, we need a confident working manager who can support the team during peak periods, maintain standards and help drive a fast, friendly and efficient service.
Key responsibilities
- Lead from the floor during busy service periods
- Help keep the team organised, friendly and focused during busy service periods
- Support coffee, customer service, food preparation and takeaway orders as needed
- Coach and motivate the team while staying hands-on in daily trade
- Keep service fast, friendly, organised and consistent
- Manage rostering, stock control, ordering and day-to-day café operations
- Maintain high standards across coffee, food presentation, cleanliness and food safety
- Work with the management team to keep labour, cost of goods and overall venue performance under control
About you
- Proven experience as a Café Manager, Working Manager or strong Assistant Manager
- Comfortable working on the floor and leading by example
- Confident in a high-volume café, takeaway or quick-service environment
- Strong customer service, communication and team leadership skills
- Hands-on, proactive and calm under pressure
- Solid understanding of rostering, stock control and basic financials
- Food Safety Supervisor certificate, or willingness to obtain one if required
- Available Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 2:30 pm
