Reporting to the Corporate Communications Manager, the Communications Specialist plays an important role in supporting internal and external communications across EBOS Group, with a primary focus on employee communications and engagement.
This six-month fixed-term opportunity is based at Level 7, 737 Bourke Street, Docklands, with a flexible hybrid working model of three days in the office and two days working from home, subject to business needs.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Corporate Communications Manager, the Communications Specialist will plan and deliver internal communications campaigns, create engaging content across Group channels and coordinate employee events and engagement initiatives.
Partnering with the Corporate Affairs team, Human Resources, divisional marketing teams and business leaders, you will help ensure communications are timely, consistent, engaging and aligned with the EBOS brand. This role offers broad exposure across a leading listed organisation and a diverse range of communications, events and employee engagement initiatives.
What You Will Do
- Develop and deliver engaging internal communications across Group channels, including the intranet, newsletters, leader communications and employee announcements.
- Create website content, social media posts and marketing collateral to support external communications activities when required.
- Plan and deliver internal events from concept through to execution, including town halls, leadership forums, recognition programs and employee engagement initiatives.
- Coordinate event logistics, including venues, run sheets, speaker liaison, audio-visual requirements and internal promotion.
- Measure and report on communication effectiveness and audience engagement.
- Maintain employee distribution lists and databases, process invoices accurately and comply with company policies, procedures and work health and safety requirements.
What We Are Looking For
- A tertiary qualification in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or a related discipline.
- At least two years' experience in communications, marketing, corporate affairs or a related area, gained in-house or in an agency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone, style and messaging for different audiences.
- Solid stakeholder engagement, relationship management, organisation and time management skills.
- Experience planning and coordinating events, communications campaigns or projects from planning through to delivery.
- Proficiency with SharePoint or intranet systems, email marketing platforms such as Vision6, WordPress and Canva. Basic graphic design, video editing or multimedia content creation skills will be highly regarded.
