Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Cancer Services Improvement Coordinator to join our growing on a full time (1.0EFT) fixed term basis until July 2027.
The Cancer Service Improvement Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the integration, coordination and continuous improvement of cancer services across the Gippsland region. Working within the Gippsland Regional Integrated Cancer Service (GRICS), you will lead and coordinate projects that improve patient outcomes and experiences across the cancer care journey, with a focus on multidisciplinary care, supportive care, survivorship care and other priorities aligned with the Victorian Cancer Plan.
Working collaboratively with health services, clinicians, primary care providers, consumers and other stakeholders, you will deliver project management, service improvement and performance monitoring activities that enhance access to high-quality, coordinated cancer care across the region.

The role of the Cancer Services Improvement Coordinator is to:
- Lead and coordinate cancer service improvement projects that support regional and statewide cancer care priorities.
- Monitor, evaluate and report on project outcomes, performance measures and service improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with clinicians, health services, consumers and community stakeholders to identify opportunities for improved cancer care delivery.
- Analyse cancer service data and support initiatives that align with Optimal Care Pathways and best practice standards.
- Prepare reports, presentations and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders, including governance groups and government agencies.
- Undertake service mapping, quality improvement and planning activities that strengthen regional cancer services and patient outcomes.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- A tertiary qualification in a healthcare, health management, project management or related discipline.
- Demonstrated project management experience, including the ability to coordinate initiatives and deliver outcomes within agreed timelines.
- Experience working within the healthcare sector, with an understanding of healthcare systems, service delivery and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong analytical, communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of quality improvement, clinical governance and healthcare performance monitoring principles.
- Well-developed organisational skills, computer literacy and the ability to interpret and utilise healthcare data to support decision-making and service improvement.
