About this opportunity:
The Ticketing Administrator is responsible for coordinating the Group Bookings process for key events such as the Premier's Gala Concert 2027, delivering accurate and efficient ticketing administration, managing internal and external ticketing enquiries, and providing event support for ICC Sydney Live Events ticketing team. The role is focused on delivering a high standard of service for customers, clients, venue partners, and internal stakeholders.
This is a casual position offering up to 30 hours per week on a seven-day rotating roster. While this role is primarily office-based during standard business hours (9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday) occasional evening and weekend work may be required to support operational requirements.
You will:
- Deliver exceptional customer service by building and maintaining positive relationships with customers, clients, venue partners, and internal stakeholders, ensuring all ticketing enquiries and requests are managed promptly and professionally.
- Provide guidance and support to casual box office staff, contributing to effective team performance and a positive patron experience.
- Support the achievement of ticketing and attendance targets through proactive ticketing administration and customer engagement.
- Identify and implement improvements to ticketing processes, operational efficiencies, and customer experience.
- Coordinate and administer ticketing operations for events, including ticket sales, allocations, group bookings, complimentary tickets, reporting and event-day ticketing activities.
- Maintain accurate ticketing systems, records, and event information to support effective event delivery and reporting.
- Contribute to the successful planning and delivery of events by providing administrative, operational, and event-day support as required.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Valid working rights in Australia.
- You must be 18 years or over.
- Higher School Certificate or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in ticketing, box office, bookings administration or customer service, preferably within the live events, entertainment or venue industry.
- Experience coordinating group bookings, ticket allocations and customer enquiries while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in ticketing systems and Microsoft Office applications, with experience using Ticketek Aspect highly regarded.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers, clients and internal stakeholders.
