- Handle, care for, and supervise dogs during training, transport, and other activities.
- Conduct assessments of dog behaviour and temperament.
- Develop and implement training plans tailored to individual dogs.
- Train dogs in basic obedience, advanced commands, and specific tasks (e.g. service work, scent detection, agility).
- Use positive reinforcement and humane training techniques.
- Keep accurate records of training progress, behaviour assessments, and health needs.
- Clean and maintain kennels, grooming equipment, and training facilities.
- Monitor dog health and behaviour and report any concerns to vets or supervisors.
- Educate and advise dog owners or handlers on training techniques and behavioural strategies.
- Participate in public demonstrations or client sessions when required.
