Field Service Engineer – Clinical DiagnosticsSydney NSWAbout the CompanyMy client is a global provider of clinical diagnostic and laboratory technology, supporting hospitals and pathology laboratories with advanced diagnostic equipment.They have an established engineering team in Sydney and provide solid technical support, spare parts and ongoing product training.The RoleMy client is looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to support hospital and pathology laboratory customers across Sydney.This is a clinical field service role focused on IVD and diagnostic equipment.
You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, installing and troubleshooting equipment while managing customer requirements and urgent breakdowns.Most customers are located across metropolitan Sydney, with occasional regional and interstate travel.Key ResponsibilitiesService and maintain clinical diagnostic and IVD equipmentTroubleshoot and repair equipment breakdownsComplete preventative maintenance and calibrationInstall and commission recent equipmentRespond to urgent faults within hospitals and pathology laboratoriesManage service calls and customer priorities independentlyProvide telephone and onsite technical supportParticipate in an on-call roster approximately once every six weeksComplete occasional regional and interstate travelAbout YouMust have an Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Automation, Instrumentation Engineering or similarField service experience with IVD, clinical diagnostic or pathology equipmentExperience with haematology, chemistry, immunology or similar clinical laboratory systemsStrong troubleshooting and fault-finding skillsExperience working within hospitals or pathology laboratoriesAble to independently manage breakdowns and service callsUnderstand the urgency of equipment failures within busy clinical laboratoriesStrong customer service and communication skillsComfortable participating in an on-call rosterWilling to undertake occasional travel and product trainingOn OfferAttractive Base + Car Allowance + KPI-Based BonusEstablished Sydney engineering teamTools and equipment suppliedSpare parts and technical supportPotential overseas training in SingaporeLong-term career development within a global organisation
