Part time Retail Customer Service OfficerTamborine Post Office is a single-terminal community post office looking for a reliable part-timer to join the small team.
You'll be the only person on site for most of your shifts, working independently while serving the local community.Key responsibilitiesSorting and preparing incoming and outgoing mailServing customers at the counter — postage, parcels, mail lodgements, bill payments and bankingProcessing identity services, including passport applications and interviewsHandling and processing cash, EFTPOS and card transactions accuratelyAssisting with retail sales, stock, merchandising and stocktakesOpening and closing the store, including cash handling and end-of-day balancingKeeping the shop clean, organised and welcomingAbout youAvailable at least one full weekday, 8am–6pmAvailable to cover additional shifts when needed,



including sick leave and annual leave coverConfident working solo and running the shop independentlyReliable, punctual and trustworthyComfortable using computers and handling transactionsPhysically able to lift mail and parcels (up to 16kg) and stand for your shiftOwn transport, or living locally in the Tamborine areaPrevious retail, customer service or cash handling experience is an advantage, but not requiredConsistent part time hours (approx. * per week), plus extra hours when covering leaveFull on-the-job training in all Australia Post systems and servicesFriendly, low-pressure local workplace where you'll get to know your customers by namePayment will be in accordance with the Retail AwardNo commute into Brisbane — ideal if you live locally in Tamborine, Wonglepong, Canungra, Logan Village or Mundoolun
