About the CompanyVerve Partners is working with a well-established construction business delivering commercial and industrial construction projects across the Newcastle and Hunter region.
This is a hands-on Project Manager role covering project delivery, cost control and quality management from pre-construction through to handover.About the RoleReporting to the Construction Manager, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of commercial and industrial/structural construction projects, working closely with Site Supervisors and project teams to ensure work is delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard of quality.Key responsibilities include:Preparing daily programming and managing project schedules, budgets and resourcesInterpreting client needs and maintaining solid client relationships throughout deliveryOverseeing quality control, including inspections against plans, specifications and relevant building codesManaging changes to project scope, schedule and costs,



including variations and claimsCoordinating and managing sub-contractors and site personnelEnsuring compliance with WHS legislation, site safety management plans and company policyProducing progress reports and administrative documentation as requiredAbout YouProven project management experience within commercial and/or industrial/structural constructionSound construction knowledge, including reading and interpreting drawings and specificationsRelevant tertiary qualification in construction management or project managementStrong understanding of WHS requirements and quality assurance standardsProven ability to manage budgets, schedules and sub-contractorsExcellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work independently, prioritise effectively and problem-solve under pressureIf you're an experienced commercial or industrial construction skilled looking for a role close to home with genuine autonomy over your projects, we'd love to hear from you.
