We are looking for a Medical Receptionist for our specialist rooms based in both Wahroonga and Westmead, NSW.
The position is a permanent part time role.
You will be part of our fantastic skilled team, greeting patients and carers, coordinating appointment diaries and hospital theatre lists, managing communications, and providing general assistance to support busy clinical staff while maintaining a professional office setting.Key responsibilitiesGreeting patients and carersDynamically coordinating appointment diary and hospital theatre listsAttending and responding to phone calls, faxes, letters, emails etc.Filing, faxing, scanning, emailing and photocopyingAttending to billing, preparing accounts and receipting paymentsPreparing and balancing day-to-day bankingEfficiently managing office suppliesProviding general assistance to support busy clinical staff and maintain a tidy professional office environmentAbout youInitiative, flexibility,



ability to work independently and cooperatively, as part of a small teamEnthusiasm for learning new skillsWillingness to accept direction, closely adhere to office protocolsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong customer service and people skills, a friendly, caring, firm and tactful manner, positive personal boundaries and high ethical standardsExcellent computer skills: MS Office, knowledge of Medical software is an advantage and training and ongoing support is providedKnowledge of medical terminology plus Medicare, DVA, Insurance billing proceduresRecent years employment experience in medical admin/reception roles is desirableReliable and trustworthy with ability to respect client confidentialityKeen to learn with adherence to practice policies and ability to be proactive
