Our State Government client has an exciting opportunity that exists for an experienced Program Coordinator to join a collaborative research-focused team. This role will provide high-level coordination, reporting and stakeholder support across a range of projects and initiatives. Working closely with researchers, project leads and key stakeholders, you will be responsible for gathering information, coordinating activities and producing high-quality written outputs including reports, briefings and project documentation. This role will be for an initial 3-month contract, with definite extension for an ongoing arrangement.
This position would suit someone with strong report-writing capability who enjoys working with complex information and can confidently engage with stakeholders to deliver accurate and professional outcomes.
Your new role
- Coordinate and support research and project activities across multiple work streams.
- Engage with researchers, project teams and external stakeholders to gather and collate information.
- Prepare high-quality reports, briefing papers, presentations and project documentation.
- Draft and review written materials for internal and external audiences.
- Coordinate meetings, workshops and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Prepare agendas, record minutes and monitor action items.
- Support project governance and maintain accurate project records.
- Track project deliverables, milestones and reporting requirements.
- Assist with event coordination and broader operational support activities as required.
- Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong report-writing and written communication skills.
- Experience within a research, health, government or policy environment.
- Exposure to grant-funded projects, research administration or project reporting.
- Experience coordinating stakeholder consultations, workshops or engagement activities.
- Experience preparing briefing papers, reports, submissions or other formal documentation.
- Ability to research, analyse and synthesise information from multiple sources.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Excellent organisational and coordination abilities.
- Experience supporting projects, programs or research initiatives.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
