Our client is aregional local government organisation located in the Mid West of WesternAustralia. They are seeking an experienced administration professional tosupport a busy Infrastructure team during a temporary period of change andoperational growth.
Your current role
Reporting to theInfrastructure Department, you will provide end-to-end administrative supportacross works and infrastructure operations. This is a hands-on role where youwill be responsible for maintaining records, supporting procurement activities,coordinating fleet and contractor documentation, and assisting with projectadministration.
A key focus ofthe assignment will be reviewing and implementing efficient systems, processesand record-keeping practices that can be maintained by the ongoing team.
Keyresponsibilities include:
- Providing administrative support to Infrastructure and Works operations.
- Developing and improving business processes and administrative systems.
- Maintaining records, registers and departmental documentation.
- Supporting procurement processes, purchase orders and supplier liaison.
- Managing contractor compliance documentation, licences and insurances.
- Maintaining fleet, plant and asset records.
- Assisting with project administration and operational reporting.
- Supporting information management and document control activities.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successfulin this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in administration, project support or operational support roles.
- Strong records management and document control skills.
- Experience establishing or improving systems and processes.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A current C Class Driver's Licence.
Experience withinlocal government, infrastructure, construction, engineering or worksenvironments will be highly regarded.
