A specialist construction organisation delivering complex projects is seeking an experienced Scheduler to join its Sydney team. You will support live projects while also developing tender programmes from pre-construction design information.
Your new role
You will produce, manage and report against integrated project schedules across multiple projects. Working closely with delivery teams, contractors, designers, suppliers and clients, you will monitor actual progress, identify schedule risk and recommend practical mitigation and recovery strategies.
- Produce, manage and update integrated project schedules across multiple projects.
- Prepare progress reports, schedule extracts, filtered programmes and short-term look-aheads.
- Present schedule information clearly to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Engage with contractors to validate actual progress, methodology and proposed construction sequencing.
- Prepare delay analysis and support the identification of change events and programme impacts.
- Develop schedule recovery strategies and delay mitigation measures.
- Engage with vendors to confirm lead times and delivery dates.
- Use pre-construction design information to develop robust tender schedules.
- Identify buildability,
technical and information constraints early enough to protect project outcomes.
What you'll need to succeed
- A construction-related degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated scheduling experience on large data centre construction projects.
- Advanced capability in Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6.
- Sound understanding of construction sequencing, engineering principles and buildability.
- Commercial awareness, including the ability to recognise and record delay and change events.
- Solid communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
- Site-based construction experience in a management or supervisory capacity will be highly regarded.
- Knowledge of temporary works is desirable.
