Your new role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a growing Brisbane team and play a key role in the delivery of complex building services projects.You will lead mechanical design projects from concept through to completion, working closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients and project stakeholders to achieve outstanding outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to manage your own portfolio of projects while contributing to team growth, mentoring emerging engineers and supporting business development activities.Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the design and delivery of mechanical building services projects
- Managing projects through all stages of design and documentation
- Providing technical guidance, quality assurance reviews and design certification
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Preparing fee proposals and supporting business development initiatives
- Mentoring and developing junior and graduate engineers
- Attending client meetings,
site inspections and industry events
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Professional registration such as RPEQ, CPEng, NER, QBCC Designer's Licence, or the ability to obtain registration
- Extensive experience delivering building services mechanical projects across multiple sectors
- Strong working knowledge of Australian Standards, the National Construction Code (NCC) and industry regulations
- Proficiency in Revit and relevant mechanical engineering design software
- Proven ability to manage projects and deliver quality outcomes within time and budget constraints
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A passion for mentoring others and contributing to team success
- Strong commercial awareness and client-focused approach
