Your new company This established organisation is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join its payroll function on a temporary basis. Supporting a large and diverse workforce, you will play a key role in ensuring payroll is processed accurately and efficiently while delivering a high level of service to internal stakeholders.
Your new role
Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:
- Processing payroll, timesheets, leave and employee variations
- Maintaining payroll records, allowances and deductions
- Interpreting awards, enterprise agreements and payroll legislation
- Responding to payroll enquiries and providing payroll advice
- Processing payroll adjustments, reconciliations and reporting
- Supporting fortnightly payroll activities and compliance requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a Payroll Officer position
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and legislation
- Experience working with computerised payroll systems
- High attention to detail and robust data entry accuracy
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Intermediate Excel skills will be highly regarded
