The Role

Joining the ERP Support Organisation (ESO) as ICT Technical Assurance Manager offers a rare chance to be at the forefront of one of Defence’s most significant transformation initiatives. This role places you in a energetic environment where your operational expertise will directly ensure critical ERP sustainment services across a complex and evolving landscape. The ESO is seeking a Technical resource r to work within an integrated team to plan and deliver reliable ERP Sustainment that meet Operational requirements and are to the required standard.

You will be part of a high-performing and energised team, driving innovation and continuous improvement, contributing to strategic decision-making, engaging with stakeholders at all levels, with an opportunity to shape service delivery outcomes that impact Defence’s capabilities.

As the Technical Assurance Manager, you will provide assurance to the ERP delivery and continuous improvement of systems, drawing on your deep knowledge of SAP. You will engage with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure digital services meet business and user needs by performing design assurance and validation of the solutions proposed by ERP System Integrators.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

- Work independently with reasonable autonomy and accountability for the achievement of outcomes of their work.
- Contribute to strategic planning, program and project management and policy development.
- Lead the maintenance and enhancements for functionality of SAP S/4HANA from sustainment perspective.
- Provide advice on technical integrity including the suitability for acceptance of systems and services into operational service
- Review and endorse design change as fit for purpose and compliant.

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is a key enabler of the One Defence reform agenda.



ERP will standardise and integrate critical functions needed into a single SAP platform delivering a major capability uplift for Defence.

The ERP Support Organisation (ESO) with Defence Digital Group (DDG) is responsible for the coordination of ERP sustainment services across legacy applications and SAP capabilities.

This role is embedded within ESO EFIT (ERP functional Integration and Technology) which is responsible for ERP Platform and Functional Integration Management and Security Operations.

We want to hear from you, if you have the skills and ability to contribute to the following:

- Experience in SAP/ERP across a variety of ERP functional domains including Supply Chain, HR, Finance, Data & analytics
- Knowledge of Cloud Platforms(Azure/ SAP)
- Proven record of leading and influencing technology professionals and managers and motivating teams.
- Ability to develop treatment plans and mitigation strategies
- Ability to work under pressure and managing competing priorities
