The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated person to join this Engineering Fabrication Apprenticeship!
Are you ready to build your future in the engineering and manufacturing industry? We’re seeking a passionate and motivated Engineering Fabrication Apprentice to join our host employer in Barmera. This is a full-time apprenticeship with a minimum of 38 hours per week, where you’ll gain valuable on-the-job experience while working towards your Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (MEM31922).

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Learning welding and fabrication techniques
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Measuring, marking, cutting and preparing materials
- Operating hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment
- Fabricating and assembling metal components and structures
- Maintaining workshop equipment and work areas
- Following workplace health and safety procedures
- Working alongside experienced tradespeople to develop your skills
What We’re Looking For:
- A genuine interest in engineering, fabrication or manufacturing
- A valid Driver’s Licence and reliable transport (essential)
- Physically fit and able to undertake manual tasks
- Reliable, hardworking and punctual
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Positive attention to detail
- Exceptional time management skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Commitment to completing the apprenticeship program
- Willingness to undertake and complete formal study requirements
- Previous experience in engineering, metalwork, manufacturing, automotive or construction will be highly regarded
