Looking for a role that combines field work, investigations, compliance and technical expertise? As Ranger (Compliance), you'll lead and deliver regulatory activities across protected areas and forestry estate throughout South-West Queensland. You'll conduct audits, investigations and patrols, gather evidence, undertake enforcement action, mentor rangers, and work with stakeholders to achieve positive compliance outcomes. This diverse role combines office-based planning and reporting with field-based compliance operations. We're seeking a confident communicator with strong problem-solving, risk management and decision-making skills. Experience with compliance, investigations, permits, tenures, GIS systems or natural resource management will be highly regarded.

The Ideal Candidate
• Displays a keen interest in compliance, investigations, environmental legislation and the protection of Queensland's protected areas and natural resources.
• Demonstrates sound judgement,
critical thinking and the ability to confidently interpret and apply legislation, policies and procedures in complex situations.
• Exhibits strong organisational skills and the capacity to handle multiple tasks with precision.
• Ability to support, mentor and share skills with a diverse group of people.
• Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build productive relationships and confidently engage with a range of stakeholders.
• Demonstrates resilience, adaptability and a commitment to achieving positive compliance and conservation outcomes.
