Your new role:
- Provide high-quality diagnostic reporting across most cross-sectional imaging modalities, as well as plain radiography, contributing to the delivery of a comprehensive and timely Radiology service.
- Subspecialty interests are encouraged and will be supported where aligned with the needs of the service. Applicants with an interest in, or experience with, Nuclear Medicine dual training are particularly encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the education and development of Radiology Registrars, including contributing to registrar teaching, supervision, case-based learning and the broader training program.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to teamwork and collaborative practice, working effectively with colleagues across Radiology and the wider multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Demonstrate leadership capacity and relevant leadership experience, with the ability to work collaboratively with and provide support to the Director in the effective management, development and ongoing improvement of the Radiology service.
About you:
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical capability, a commitment to teaching and teamwork, and established or developing leadership skills that will enable them to make a meaningful contribution to the Radiology service and support the Director in achieving departmental objectives.
- This role provides high-quality, patient-centred specialist care within Diagnostic Radiology,
contributing to the achievement of Metro South Health's clinical, teaching, and research objectives. Key functions include:
- Providing specialist services across Metro South Health facilities
- Delivering inpatient and outpatient care, including on-call participation
- Performing elective and/or emergency procedures
- Supervising and teaching junior medical staff and students
- Participating in multidisciplinary meetings, research, and quality improvement

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH)
is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
