The Gillies Café is a well-established, vibrant café in the heart of Yungaburra, known for great food, fantastic coffee and a welcoming atmosphere. We're looking for two experienced, enthusiastic people to join our busy, fun and friendly team.
Key responsibilities
Cook / Chef:
- Prepare quality breakfast and lunch dishes in a busy café kitchen
- Work independently and as part of a team during fast-paced service
- Maintain excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ensure presentation, consistency and quality of food
- Understand and implement food safety, portion control and waste minimisation
Senior Barista:
- Make consistently excellent coffee, even under pressure
- Manage a busy coffee station independently
- Provide great customer service with a friendly personality
- Maintain organisation, efficiency and excellent attention to detail
About you
Cook / Chef:
- Solid experience in a busy café or restaurant kitchen
- Confident preparing quality breakfast and lunch dishes
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Takes pride in presentation, consistency and quality
- Understands food safety, portion control and minimising waste
- Brings a positive attitude and works well within a team
Senior Barista:
- Extensive barista experience in a busy café environment
- Makes consistently excellent coffee, even under pressure
- Can confidently manage a busy coffee station independently
- Great customer service skills and a friendly personality
- Organised, efficient and has excellent attention to detail
- Passionate about coffee and takes pride in their work
