The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Long Hole Driller to join our underground mining team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work at a well‑established operation with a strong safety culture, modern equipment, and a focus on long‑term sustainability.

You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of long hole drilling equipment to achieve daily production targets while maintaining Perilya’s high standards for safety and quality.

Key responsibilities include:





- Operating long hole drill rigs in an underground environment

- Accurately drilling production and slot holes to plan and specification

- Pre‑start inspections and routine servicing of drilling equipment

- Identifying and reporting ground conditions, hazards, and equipment issues

- Working collaboratively with supervisors, charge‑up crews, and geotechnical teams

- Maintaining accurate production and safety documentation

- Actively contributing to workplace safety and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Proven experience as a Long Hole Driller in an underground mining operation

- Competency operating contemporary long hole drill rigs

- Strong awareness of underground safety systems and ground control

- Ability to read and work from drill designs and mine plans

- Valuable communication skills and a strong team mindset

- A proactive approach to safety and hazard identification
